I was debating to myself what I should do with this picture. But I'll go on about that in a moment...

This piece came from some life drawing quick-sketches I did a while ago. I was focusing on legs in particular, so I always left an obvious gap above the neck - once the sketch was complete I thought I'd do something with the head, so it ended up as a series of exploding heads... This eventually turned into flowing hair with no obvious stem - ie: no head, just hair... Not as creepy as exploding heads, but still creepy.

It could be that there is no head, or that the hair is in the way - up to you.

As for the debate I was having with myself, I was arguing if this should be on my site or not. I got worried about offending people, but the thing that changed my mind was a reminder of why I draw. I like exploring these odd ideas, and that's what I want to show. Sorry if it offends you that she is in the buff, but the whole concept of the odd shape, and the high contrast of the hair wouldn't of worked. I was stupid to think I should make my personal work to fit peoples wants or expectations, so it's back on track for me I hope.

What may of seemed like a little crazed (if not pretentious sounding) self-argument was in fact a little realisation. It's all good!

Now, all of that aside, I'm still going to play the game of 'how fast can I get this off my homepage' - new picture coming soon!
