167. Freak of Nature

Le Masque en bois
A scene of a man in a large wooden mask prancing through the forest with his flute...

Description

There goes the first and last bit of French on this site...

Take one pad of lined paper, one boring meeting and this is what I come up with. It started from making an eye out of the holes in the binding of the pad and it just evolved into a strange looking mask. As strange as it looked the mask needed an equally weird host. The first sketches (See inspiration) were of a man prancing about with the mask on, so I took that on a little further here.

I decided on a voyeur-esq view point through the trees so it's like a rare glimpse of the freak in the forest. For me, it's like a strange cross breed of Zelda: Majoras Mask, and the Silent Hill Bunnies...

Very cool! I like the idea and the subtle soft colour palette.
