166. Deluge

Down right drenched
A portrait of an unknown, using those colours I've always wanted to use.

Description

The past few weeks I've been trying to get one single picture done and it's nowhere near completion.
I spent two hours on this one.

I used to upload anything here but recently I've become obsessed over producing only quality images. I spend so much time messing about with this 'quality' element I've found my general drawing ability is waiving. I also forget that drawing is fun - when you make it fun anyway. Grr! I annoy myself! Ooh, if I had a blog I'd write all about it...

As I've mentioned, this picture was done in about 2 hours. It's based upon a photo (for shame!) of which I did a rough sketch of yesterday, as I liked his moody expression. It's rough, it's simple, but I really like it. Haven't said that about my work for a while.

Inspiration

Returning to it today to colour it, I can't find the original photo anymore, which is annoying. It's essentially a slight caricature of the man! Apologies.
