My only knowledge of Samba de Amigo prior to drawing this was the weird mode on Phantasy Star Online when the 'Samba Carnival' started playing... That was odd.

This was another piece for the rather excellent Play.d magazine. It was a continuation of the Dreamcast piece, so this guy and a Crazy Taxi image didn't go into the main picture. That, and how would I fit in a yellow cab into it??

Samba de Amigo was one of those 'daring' games for the Dreamcast which I think made it shine. My knowledge of this game is lacking, but I do know you play using electronic maracas. An older (and better) version of Guitar Hero, minus the guitar... and the emo crap.

As for this picture, I did it a while ago and have been meaning to put it up for ages. I did this long before but it makes me think of the rather excellent illustrations from Mario Hoops/Basketball for the DS.
