133. Doll Eyes

Crazy Fists
Portrait of a girl with a creepy stare.

Description

Working from reference pictures isn't something I do. We were frequently told not to work from photo's at school, and I've always stuck with that. It's difficult to get the same accuracy you can get if you're able to move around the object.

However, running low on inspiration, and tiring of another picture currently in progress, I went window shopping for inspiration on the net. I saw a stock photo over at DeviantArt which caught my eye, and browsing through all of her pictures, I found one that stood out.

I had to draw it, despite it being from a photo. The picture had so much character it was hard to add to mine really. Nonetheless I worked into it an idea I had from a picture I scrapped a while ago, of hair just trailing off into what could be infinity. Worked to some degree, but found it off-putting, so I darkened it.

In any case, I'd like to point out that the model is far prettier in reality, and this wasn't to represent her, purely used as a base.
Thank you, 'bloodsugareso'!
